ABOUT TWL

Founder/CEO

I have had the pleasure of working with children and in the field of Academia for over 30 years. I’m also a very proud mother of two daughters who are the loves, joy, and inspiration of my life.

My experiences in education are both an honor and a blessing. My journey has also been both rewarding and challenging. I learned about 10 years ago that I was a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and had 5 of the 7 types of ADD. I also have a couple of executive function challenges. This has taught me more about loving people and children and living an authentic life; even more than any  of my degress and certifications.  I do feel the experiences I have, help me empathize and connect with my students. I hope to share and teach each student about their beautiful  gifts and how to succeed and protect themselves in our challenging world.

Currently I’m working on my Doctorate and I have a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Literacy from the University of Denver. I also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a dual major in Market and Management, an Associate Degree and a Minor in Social Sciences from Northwood University. For many years, I owned a large private school with numerous honorary awards due to exemplary education and business practices. I recently earned my certification as a Brain Health Coach where I qualified to assess, diagnose and treat ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Executive Function and Neurodivergent learning differences.
Currently, consulting, training and teaching worldwide is my true passion. Helping teachers manage their classrooms, finding alternative ways to teach and disseminate information and train educators and parents about raising children today in our sometimes harsh and challenging world. There simply isn’t enough resources and natual solutions to ADD/ADHD. Previously, I taught at the elementary school level as well as the college level. I have also worked as a reading specialist and enjoy working with children who have reading ‘differences’ such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalcia and students with ADD/ ADHD / Executive Function as well as Highly Sensitive Children and families.  I’ve volunteered and worked with the Children’s Advocacy Center for abused children and work closely with our local Salvation Army. Years ago, I started an annual event raising money for childhood Diabetes. One of my many rewarding experiences, was spending three years in Europe working with youth in the community.

My passion is helping children foster a love of learning; helping them to see themselves as bright individuals who have something amazing to offer the world and that their actions and dreams can make the world a better place, whether as a team or an individual! We must all understanding that we need to work as a team/family in order for each child/student to reach their highest potential. Education isn’t achieved just by teaching, but by building relationships and an understanding how each and every student flourishes and is motivated. We must spend the time and give the needed attention to every child in order to build their self-esteem, foster their love of learning, love of themselves allowing them to soar. I want all students to achieve every extraordinary dream they may have by help them achieve this by taking the time to get know each student well and how they learn best. At Teach with Love, we teach children to honor, love, and to respect themselves and others!
An Accredited Online Microschool dedicated to personalized learning and student success.

What Teach with Love Stands For

Some kids miss school because they woke up hungry. Others stay home because nobody can drive them. Some show up without a pencil or a jacket when it's cold outside. These aren't bad kids. They're kids stuck in bad situations. Fifteen years ago, Teach with Love decided to stop waiting for someone else to fix this. We stepped in ourselves. We bring food, supplies, rides, tutors, and adults who actually care. We remind every child that their starting point doesn't decide their finish line. Nobody gets written off here. Period.

What I Bring to This Work

I’m finishing my Doctorate now. My Master’s in Education came from the University of Denver. Curriculum. Instruction. Literacy. Before that, I studied Business Administration at Northwood University. Marketing and Management majors. Associate Degree. Social Sciences minor. I built a private school years ago. Ran it. Won awards for both teaching and business. I just received my certification as a Brain Health Coach so that I can effectively evaluate and address problems related to Executive Function, Dyslexia, and ADD/ADHD. However, my entire narrative cannot be told by documents hanging on a wall. I instructed students in elementary school and college. worked as a reading specialist. Assisted kids in overcoming Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia. Worked as a volunteer at the Children’s Advocacy Center with maltreated youngsters. In collaboration with the Salvation Army. Raised money for childhood diabetes every year. Spent three years in Europe mentoring young people with nowhere to go. Every single experience pushed me toward Teach with Love. This is where I belong. Helping kids see their struggles as strengths waiting to break through.

My true passion lies in consulting, training, and teaching on a global scale. I focus on helping educators manage classrooms more effectively, find alternative teaching methods, and raise awareness about the challenges children face in today’s world. I have previously taught at both the elementary and college levels and served as a reading specialist. Working with children who have learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADD/ADHD, and executive function issues has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career. I have also volunteered with the Children’s Advocacy Center for abused children and have been deeply involved with the local Salvation Army. In addition, I launched an annual fundraiser to raise money for childhood diabetes and spent three years in Europe working with youth in the community.

My passion is helping children develop a love for learning, and I firmly believe that each child has something incredible to offer the world. Whether as a team or an individual, children can make a lasting impact, and I am committed to helping them realize their potential. I believe that education is not just about teaching; it’s about building relationships and understanding how each child thrives. By providing the attention and support each student needs, we can help foster their self-esteem and love of learning, enabling them to soar. At Teach with Love, we teach children to honor, love, and respect themselves and others, creating a foundation for success in all aspects of their lives.
